Goal #1: Make your bed every day!
True, making your bed is a small gesture – but that’s one reason that it’s a good idea. Sometimes the small things bring about a sense satisfaction and happiness that last throughout the day.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, picking one little task (like making your bed) is a way to improve your surroundings and give you a sense of well being, and doing it regularly, can help you regain a sense of self-mastery. Making your bed is a good place to start, and tackling one easy daily step is a good way to energize yourself for tougher situations.
of course there would be a video on something like this...lol.
ReplyDeleteI volunteered as a Candy Striper back in high school, so I learned how to make a hospital bed, and tried to teach my kids too, but they aren't so meticulous. And aren't so concerned with a made bed every day....
But I like a tidy bedroom. There is nothing worse that crawling into a messy bed at the end of a long day. A great goal if you ask me, it will make everything better. :)
Something that I do every morning like clockwork. Makes you feel good at the end of the day to get into a nice made bed. Great goal!
ReplyDeleteMaking your bed first thing in the morning sure gives you that get up and go feeling. And it's suppose to be great exercise :)
